Insurance Coverage
Many psychotherapy services are covered, either partially or fully, by health insurance plans. Coverage varies by plan and may depend on factors such as deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and out-of-network benefits.
Commonly accepted insurance plans may include:
Aetna
Cigna
UnitedHealthcare
Oscar Health
Oxford
Empire BlueCross BlueShield
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
Anthem EAP
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
Independent Blue Cross Pennsylvania
Carelon
Harvard Pilgrim (Point32)
Other plans (verify availability)
Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider directly to confirm behavioral health benefits and determine any out-of-pocket costs before beginning treatment.
What If I Have a Deductible?
Many insurance plans require individuals to meet a deductible before insurance begins covering services. Once the deductible is met, clients may be responsible for a copayment or coinsurance amount depending on their specific plan.
The practice can help clients understand the insurance process and answer questions about benefits verification whenever possible.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If a plan is not accepted directly, many clients may still be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. Depending on the insurance plan, a significant portion of therapy costs may be reimbursed after services are rendered.
Documentation can be provided to support out-of-network reimbursement requests.

Accessible Virtual Therapy
Telehealth services are available throughout New York and Massachusetts, allowing clients to access specialized treatment from the privacy and convenience of their home. Virtual therapy can reduce travel time, increase scheduling flexibility, and improve access to specialized care for individuals who may not have local providers with expertise in OCD, ERP, eating disorders, ARFID, or LGBTQIA+ affirming treatment.
